Hey there, I'm Richmon! I am a product-focused medical device engineer hoping to apply modern innovations to improve current medical tools.
I started out in research, earning a Bachelor's from the University of Washington and a Master's from Columbia University in the field of biomedical engineering. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I worked at the Folch Laboratory designing medical devices to evaluate the cancer drug efficacy using cultured patient tumor tissue. Academic research taught me to analyze critically and dive deeply into complex problems. These fundamental research skills helped me succeed at start-up companies (Lung Biotechnology/Epibone) at the cutting edge of biomedical technology. I currently work at Johnson & Johnson MedTech (Ethicon) developing the future of wound closure and healing.
I specialize in bringing new ideas to life — I believe innovation should drive better patient outcomes and the standard of care should only be the starting line. My experience includes:
